Welcome!
My name is Kaity (Kaitlin) Bushinski and I’m an Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist. I strive to provide care that feels warm, safe, and specialized to the people who choose to work with me. Forever fascinated by what art can tell us about the human condition, I graduated from Oberlin College with a B.S. in Comparative Literature. From there I received my MSW from the University of Pennsylvania which began my formal clinical training. Over the years I’ve enjoyed working with diverse populations in domestic violence shelters, drug and alcohol recovery centers, inpatient psychiatric settings, and outpatient settings.
My passion is using an experiential therapy called Eye Movement Reprocessing Desensitization (EMDR) to help clients address the core issues they’re experiencing. When it’s a good fit, or if a client prefers it, I love to include time for more traditional talk therapy as well to help clients process what is happening in the here-and-now.

A little about me
I have hiked the entire Appalachian Trail, and during that adventure I managed to fall off a bridge and see a mountain lion (though not at the same time!)
The Christmas cactus plant that I've owned and loved for years is actually a Thanksgiving cactus -- it blooms faithfully at the end of every November.
You can often find me wandering through the woods, foraging for wild herbs in Philly's Wissahickon park and turning my discoveries into healing teas, tinctures, and syrups.

“I connected with Kaity as a colleague in Philadelphia’s EMDR therapists group, and I’, so glad that I did. Kaity is a really talented clinical, knowledgeable, and trauma-informed. These qualities are so innate and means that Kaity is not only a skilled therapist, but someone who provides safety and compassion to her clients as they are healing. I would absolutely recommend Kaity as a therapist to join you in your path towards growth.”
